Description
Pallas Beach sits directly below the imposing Lindos Acropolis, on the east coast of Rhodes. It is a compact cove of soft sand mixed with small pebbles, with the deep blue water lapping gently under the rocky headland. The waves are moderate but the bay is sheltered enough for safe swimming. Sunbeds and umbrellas line the shore, and a couple of tavernas sit on the back, providing lunch and cold drinks. The beach can become busy in July and August, particularly with day-trippers from Lindos town, but its setting remains striking. To reach it, you walk down the narrow streets from Lindos village or drive to a small roadside parking area above the bay (space is limited). There are basic facilities including showers and snorkelling is good around the rocky edges. While not the most secluded spot on Rhodes, Pallas Beach offers convenient access to the acropolis and a pleasant, if crowded, afternoon by the sea.
