Description
This small cove, whose name translates to 'little harbour', sits along the east coast of Rhodes, a few kilometres south of Kolymbia and north of Archangelos. The shoreline forms a modest crescent, backed by low scrub-covered cliffs that give way to sparse pine forest further inland. The water is generally clear and calm, with moderate wave action that picks up slightly when the wind blows from the north. There is no formal organisation — no sunbeds, umbrellas or permanent facilities — so you will need to bring your own shade and supplies. Access is by a short, unsealed track from the main coastal road; parking is limited to a few roadside spaces near the track entrance. The beach itself is a mix of coarse sand and pebbles, typical of this stretch of coast, and the seabed shelves gently, making it acceptable for a quick dip but not ideal for small children due to the stones. Because of its undeveloped nature, it remains quiet even in high season, attracting mainly locals and those seeking a simple, uncrowded spot for a few hours of swimming and sunbathing. Snorkelling is possible around the rocky edges, but the underwater interest is modest. No tavernas, bars or water sports are present, so come fully self-sufficient and leave nothing behind.
