Description
Lardos beach stretches along the east coast of Rhodes, a couple of kilometres south of the village of Lardos, between Lindos and the southern tip of the island. The beach is a broad strip of coarse sand and small pebbles, gently shelving into calm, clear water that is typically moderate in wave exposure. Behind the beach runs a road with roadside parking; from the village you can walk or drive in minutes. The beach is fully serviced with rows of sunbeds and umbrellas for hire, and several beachfront tavernas and bars serve meals, drinks, and snacks throughout the day. Families appreciate the safe swimming and the shallow water near the shore, while the presence of amenities makes a full day easy. Showers and toilets are available, though there is no designated lifeguard. Sheltered by low dunes and scrub, Lardos can get busy in high summer, but its length means you can usually find a quieter spot away from the main hub. It is a practical, no-fuss choice for a day by the sea when you want convenience and a relaxed atmosphere.
