Description
On the east coast of Rhodes, between the resort towns of Faliraki and Kolymbia, a stretch of shore known locally as Oasis Beach offers a quiet alternative to the busier sands nearby. The beach is predominantly pebbly, with clear water that deepens steadily—fine for swimming but not ideal for toddlers. A rocky headland to the south gives some protection, though the sea is often moderate here, with a steady breeze. Reaching it involves a short drive from the main coastal road; you'll park on the verge (space is limited). There are no facilities—no sunbeds, umbrellas, or tavernas—so come fully prepared with water, snacks, and shade. This is a beach for those seeking a low-key day out, away from crowds. Snorkellers will find interest around the rocks at the edges. It never gets truly packed, partly because of the lack of amenities and the pebbly surface. Late afternoon light softens the scenery, making it a pleasant spot for a quiet swim before heading back.
