Description
On the east coast of Rhodes, a short drive south from the resort of Kolympia, this stretch of coastline offers a more informal beach day. The shore here is a mix of sand and pebbles, with water typically clear and moderately exposed to the breeze — enough for a gentle chop but rarely rough. There are no sunbeds or umbrellas; visitors park along the roadside and make their way down a short slope to the beach. The backdrop is low scrub and the occasional pine, with views across the sea towards the Turkish coast on a clear day. Because it lacks facilities, it tends to draw a quieter crowd, mostly locals or those staying in nearby villas who come for a swim without the hubbub of an organised beach. A good spot for a simple dip, snorkelling over the rocky patches at the edges, or an early evening walk. Bring your own supplies — water, snacks, shade — as there is nothing for sale. The beach remains relatively uncrowded even in high season, a peaceful alternative to the more commercial coves further north.
