Description
Faliraki’s main beach, often referred to as Faliraki A, stretches along the east coast of Rhodes just south of the town centre. It is a broad, sandy beach with shallow, moderately calm waters, making it a popular choice for families and those new to water sports. The beach is fully organised: rows of sunbeds and umbrellas line the sand, backed by a promenade with beach bars, tavernas, and snack kiosks. Lifeguards patrol during the summer season, and there are public showers and toilets. Water sports are a big draw – from jet skis to parasailing – and regular boat trips depart from the shore. The atmosphere is lively, especially in July and August, when the sand can be packed and the music from the bars carries across the bay. Access is straightforward: the coastal road runs parallel to the beach, and you can park roadside (though spaces fill quickly in peak season). If you prefer a quieter spot, the beach gets less busy towards the northern and southern ends.
