Description
On the southeast coast of Thassos, a short distance from the resort of Potos, a modest cove known locally as Mikri Paralia offers an undeveloped stretch of shoreline. The coast here is typically scrubby and rocky, with the beach backed by low trees and bushes. The shingle and pebble shore shelves into water that is generally clear, though moderate wave exposure can bring some swell. Roadside parking is possible along the narrow coastal road, from which a short path leads down to the water. This is a beach for those seeking simplicity: no sunbeds or facilities, just the sea and sun. It tends to stay quiet except perhaps on peak summer weekends when locals arrive for a quick dip. Bring your own umbrella, water, and snacks, as there is nothing for sale. A practical stop for a peaceful swim away from the organised resorts.
