Porto Vathy is a pebbly beach on the southern coast of Thassos, set in a small bay with gentle hills backing the shore. The water here is clear and moderately exposed to the open sea, so it can have a light swell on breezy days.

On the northeast coast of Thassos, a short drive from the village of Theologos, lies a beach known locally as Saliara or Marble Beach. Its name hints at the smooth white pebbles that cover the shoreline, set against a backdrop of low marble cliffs and sparse pine scrub.

Arsanas is a small pebble beach on the east coast of Thassos, set between low rocky headlands and backed by sparse pine woodland. The water is clear and refreshing with moderate wave action, suitable for swimming but not ideal for very young children. Shade is limited, so come prepared with an umbrella.

Livadi sits on Thassos' east coast, a pebbly crescent tucked below low, scrub-covered cliffs. The shoreline is narrow, composed of smooth grey and white pebbles that shelve gently into clear water. Wave exposure is moderate, so a gentle swell often laps the shore, but strong currents are rare.

On the southeast coast of Thassos, a short distance from the resort of Potos, a modest cove known locally as Mikri Paralia offers an undeveloped stretch of shoreline. The coast here is typically scrubby and rocky, with the beach backed by low trees and bushes.

On Thassos’s east coast, just south of Potamia village, Pefkari is a pebbly beach backed by pine-clad slopes. The shingle gives way to clear, moderately lively water – waves here are steady enough for a bob but rarely rough.

Skidia sits on Thassos' east coast, a pebbly cove accessed by a short dirt track from the main coastal road. The shore is a mix of smooth pebbles and small stones, shelving gently into clear, moderately wavy water — suitable for a cooling dip but with some current.

Thimonia is a small pebble cove on the east coast of Thassos, a few kilometres south of Potos. The beach is tucked between low rocky headlands, with a narrow strip of grey-white pebbles that shelve gently into clear water. The seabed is also pebbly, so water shoes are a good idea.
