Description
Canal d’Amour (in Sidari, northwest Corfu) is a dramatic natural channel carved into yellow sandstone cliffs opening into small coves and caves. The shoreline is a mix of coarse sand and exposed rock, and the seabed includes rocky patches and shallow channels ideal for exploration. Water is very clear; waves are typically mild but wind exposure or currents in the channel can create ripples. The site is semi-organized: there are rentable sunbeds and umbrellas near the channel’s main beach, and nearby beach bars and restaurants. Access is via road from Sidari (by car or local bus) with parking in adjacent lots or roadside. Because of cliff structures and caves, visitors should watch for submerged rocks, avoid risky jumps, and respect safety zones. Cliff jumpers are known to frequent the area.
