Description
Small urban beach on the Kanoni side of Corfu Town, also known as the Royal Baths. The shore is mainly sand with some stones/rocky patches; the seabed is mostly sandy and the water is generally clear. Set inside Garitsa Bay, it’s sheltered from prevailing NW winds so the sea is usually calm with only light chop in stronger easterlies. Access is very easy: a signed gate on Emmanouil Theotoki Street (walkable along the Garitsa promenade from the Old Town; city bus 2A stops nearby). The site is privately operated in summer with paid sunbeds/umbrellas and a beach café/restaurant; there are showers and toilets on site. Parking is on-street around the bay rather than a dedicated lot. Notable cautions: space is limited in peak season; there’s a jetty/pier used for jumping and for small boats—watch for slippery surfaces and boat traffic; free unfenced areas beyond the managed section are minimal.
