Description
Small cove on Corfu’s west coast between Pelekas/Kontogialos and Myrtiotissa. Narrow strand (~200 m) with a MIX of coarse sand, pebbles and some larger rocks; water is typically very clear with rocky sides that suit casual snorkeling. The bay faces southwest/west and is exposed to prevailing NW–W winds—usually calm to moderate but can become wavy when winds pick up. Access is via a steep, narrow road down from the hill; alternatively, you can walk from nearby Kontogialos (Pelekas) along the coast path. Limited facilities: a beachfront taverna operates seasonally and usually sets a small number of sunbeds/umbrellas. Parking is limited to a small area by the taverna plus roadside spaces uphill. No verified public showers/toilets or lifeguard. Cautions: steep drive/walk, limited parking, uneven/rocky seabed in places and occasional wave surge when winds are onshore.
