Description
Therma Beach sits on the southeastern coast of Kos, just below the village of the same name. Its dark, volcanic sand stretches along a modest bay with moderate wave action. The water is notably warm in places, thanks to natural hot springs that seep into the sea. Reaching the beach is straightforward: a paved road leads from the main coastal road, and you can park at the roadside. The beach is not fully organised, but there is a beach bar for cold drinks and snacks. Most visitors bring their own umbrellas and towels, though a few sunbeds may appear seasonally. It suits those wanting a quick dip in warm water or a spot to relax away from busier resorts. The nearby hot spring pools, available for a fee, are a separate attraction. On busy summer days the sand fills up, but the water stays pleasant all afternoon.
