Description
On the south coast of Kos, a short distance west of Kardamena, this sandy beach stretches along a relatively quiet stretch of coastline. The water here is calm, sheltered from the prevailing northerly winds, making it good for paddling and swimming. The beach is backed by low dunes and sparse vegetation, with no permanent shade structures; an umbrella is essential. Reaching the beach involves a turn off the main coastal road onto a rough track, with parking limited to the roadside verge. Given that the beach is not organised, there are no sunbeds or tavernas on the sand, so bring everything you need for the day. The atmosphere is relaxed and uncrowded, popular with locals and those staying in nearby villas. It’s a spot for a quiet swim rather than watersports or nightlife. The sand is fine and golden, the water clear. A simple, undeveloped beach for those who prefer nature over amenities.
