Description
This stretch of shoreline lies along Kos’s south coast, west of the airport and roughly midway between Kos town and Kefalos. The immediate landscape is low-lying and scrubby, with sparse tamarisk and tamarisk offering little natural shade. The sea is moderately exposed to the prevailing winds, so the water often has a light chop that makes it feel lively rather than placid. Access is via a rough, unpaved track that runs off the main coastal road; parking is limited to the verge. There are no facilities, no sunbeds, and no formal organisation — the beach remains entirely undeveloped. It attracts a small crowd of naturists and those seeking a quiet, no-frills swim, but it never gets busy. The absence of services means visitors must bring their own water, food, and shade. The bottom underfoot is a mix of sand and small pebbles, and snorkelling is worthwhile along the rocky edges. This is a beach for self-sufficient travellers who value seclusion over comfort.
