Description
Lambi stretches along Kos's north coast, a short walk or drive from the edge of Kos Town. The beach is a broad band of sand and shingle, shelving gently into calm, clear water. Tamarisk trees offer pockets of shade behind the sunbed rows. Access is straightforward: a paved road runs parallel to the shore, with roadside parking along much of its length. The beach is well organised, with sunbeds, umbrellas, showers and toilets. A seasonal beach bar serves drinks and snacks, and a separate watersports centre rents out kayaks, paddleboards and pedal boats. Lambi is popular with families and groups, and can get busy in July and August, but its length means you can usually find a quieter spot by walking east. The afternoon sun keeps the water bright, and the shallow entry makes it good for children. On still days, the water stays calm; a moderate breeze sometimes kicks up small waves, enough to bob on an inflatable. The nearest tavernas are a five-minute walk back towards town.
