    Description

Tsougkrias Beach stretches along the southern coast of Skiathos, a short drive or boat hop from the main town. A broad sweep of pale sand meets moderately lively water, backed by low cliffs and a fringe of tamarisk trees that cast dappled shade. The beach faces south, catching the afternoon sun. Most visitors reach it via a rough dirt track from the main road; parking is roadside and limited, so arriving early is wise, especially in July or August. Alternatively, water taxis from Skiathos town drop you right on the sand. The beach is well organised: rows of sunbeds with umbrellas line the shore, and a beach bar serves drinks and simple meals. Families with young children will appreciate the gentle shallows, while snorkellers can explore the rocky edges. Despite the facilities, the long stretch means even on busy days you can find a quieter spot. Come prepared with water and snacks if you avoid the bar, but otherwise everything needed for a comfortable day is on site.
