A short walk or drive south of Skiathos Town brings you to Megali Ammos, the nearest sandy beach to the port. Its long, gentle curve of golden sand is backed by tamarisk trees and low-rise buildings, with shallow water that shelves gradually — ideal for families with young children. Moderate wave exposure provides a pleasant chop without being rough.
