Kolios Beach sits on the south coast of Skiathos, about 6 km from Skiathos Town, in a sheltered bay backed by pine-covered slopes. The sand is soft and golden, the water a clear, shallow gradient that shelves gently – good for swimming and snorkelling.

A short walk or drive south of Skiathos Town brings you to Megali Ammos, the nearest sandy beach to the port. Its long, gentle curve of golden sand is backed by tamarisk trees and low-rise buildings, with shallow water that shelves gradually — ideal for families with young children.

On the southern coast of Skiathos, a short walk from the popular Koukounaries, Mega Gyalos offers a more subdued alternative. The beach sits in a small, pine-fringed cove with a mix of coarse sand and pebbles, the water clear but with moderate wave exposure.
