Description
Milia is a long, sandy beach on Skopelos’ southwest coast, roughly 10 km from Skopelos Town (Chora). The beach stretches in a broad arc between low green hills, with tamarisk trees offering some natural shade near the back. The water is shallow and clear, with a moderate wave exposure that makes it pleasant for swimming but can develop a slight chop on windy afternoons. A paved road leads from the main island road directly to the beach, where roadside parking lines the approach. The beach is well organised: sunbeds and umbrellas cover much of the sand in summer, and a beach bar and taverna serve drinks, snacks, and full meals. It is popular with families and couples, drawing a steady crowd in July and August, but quieter outside peak season. Facilities include parking, sunbeds and umbrellas, a taverna, a beach bar, and food service. It is not a Blue Flag beach.
