Description
Panormos beach sits on the northwest coast of Skopelos, a short drive from the island's main town. It is a wide, sandy beach set in a sheltered bay, backed by pine-clad hills and a handful of houses. The water is calm and clear, with a gentle slope that makes it ideal for families with young children. Tamarisk trees provide patches of natural shade, and sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire from the two beachfront tavernas. The beach is fully organised: there is a beach bar, taverna, and basic facilities including showers and toilets. Parking is convenient, with a large lot by the shore. Snorkelling is decent around the rocky headlands, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed, even in peak season when it can get moderately busy. This is a good choice if you want a comfortable day by the sea with everything on hand.
