Description
Stafylos sits on the southern coast of Skopelos, a short drive from the port of Skopelos Town, and is one of the island's most popular beaches. The beach curves around a large bay with a mix of golden sand and small pebbles, while the clear, calm waters are good for swimming. Tamarisk trees provide some natural shade, though sunbeds and umbrellas are plentiful in the organised section. You get here via a paved road that ends at a small parking area; spaces fill quickly in high season, so arrive early. The beach has a lively but not overwhelming atmosphere, attracting families and couples alike. For food and drink, there is a beach bar and a taverna serving Greek classics. Showers and toilets are available, and the gentle slope makes it easy for children. Snorkelling is rewarding around the rocks at either end. Overall, a well-equipped, convenient choice for a relaxed day on Skopelos.
