Description

Varkiza Beach lies along the Athenian Riviera and blends relaxed charm with full service. Much of the shore is sandy with scattered pebbles, and the seabed slopes gently, giving clear, shallow water for a good stretch. The beach is split into organized zones—sunbeds, umbrellas, beach bars and cafés under management—and more open public stretches. Access is easy from Poseidonos Avenue or the coastal road, and public transport reaches close by. On-site parking (including valet) is offered. The beach sees waves mostly small to moderate, though winds (especially from the sea) may stir light chop. Be prepared for crowds on summer weekends and extra cost for prime locations. Follow lifeguard rules and respect paid vs free zones.
