Description
Kavouri Beach lies on the Vouliagmeni peninsula of the Athenian Riviera and offers a pleasant balance of ease and character. The shore is soft golden sand that continues into the sea, with a gentle slope into clear, shallow water — ideal for families. Two adjacent stretches (“Megalo Kavouri” and “Mikro Kavouri”) provide both free and organized zones. Some sectors offer umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and toilets, while others remain more relaxed. There’s modest parking along the road and nearby lots. Typically the waters are calm, though wind-driven ripples may emerge in breezy conditions. The setting is green and tranquil, less crowded than central Athens beaches. Be aware that some parts may lack lifeguard supervision, and in off-peak zones amenities are minimal, so bring necessities just in case.
