Description
Artemida Beach (also known as Loutsa) is a long, sandy stretch along the eastern Attica coast, combining welcoming sunbathing zones and local character. The sand is fine to medium, and the seabed slopes gently, offering safe, shallow, and clear water well out for families. The beach is fairly well organized with beach bars, umbrellas, sunbeds, cafés and lifeguards on many sections. Crowds swell in summer but distant parts feel more relaxed. Access is easy via coastal roads and regular buses from Athens; parking is available in lots and alongside the road. At times natural debris like fallen Posidonia leaves wash ashore (protected species), which aren’t always cleared to preserve the ecosystem. In stronger winds, mild chop may arise—swim with care especially beyond the sheltered zone.
