Description
Popular sandy bay on the Vasilikos peninsula with very clear, typically calm waters. The main shore is fine sand (with some rocky patches near the chapel headland), shelving gently—good for casual swimming and families. The beach is fully organized with sunbed/umbrella zones, an on-site beach bar and extensive water-sports operations (jet-ski, parasail, towables, SUP/canoe). Access is by paved road; there is on-site and roadside parking, and the area is easy to reach by car/scooter. Exposure is generally limited by the bay’s orientation, so wind and wave action are usually light, though chop increases when sea-breeze picks up and when water-sports boats are active. Notable cautions: heavy motorized water-sports traffic close to swimmers; keep clear of craft lanes and follow local signage/ranger instructions if Marine Park rules are posted (seasonal restrictions may apply).
