Description
Long, gently shelving sandy beach on Zakynthos’ northeast coast (next to Alykes). Sand predominates with occasional small pebbly patches. Water is typically very clear and shallow for a long distance, making it popular for families. Generally sheltered with calm conditions, though light onshore breezes can raise small chop in the afternoon. Access is straightforward by paved local roads from Alykanas/Alykes; the beachfront is lined with hotels, beach bars and organized sections. Managed facilities include sunbeds/parasols and multiple water-sports operators (e.g., jet-ski, pedalos, SUP, boat rentals/boat trips). Showers and toilets are available at beach bars/hotels. Parking is mostly along the roads behind the beach; dedicated public lots are limited. Notable cautions: stay clear of marked lanes for watercraft and occasional small boat traffic from watersports/boat-hire piers; depth increases slowly so supervise children but note it can be busy in peak season.
