Description
Long west-coast beach between Tsoukalades and Agios Nikitas. Shore is a mix of coarse sand and small pebbles; water is typically very clear and gets deep quickly. Exposed to prevailing NW winds, so it can be wavy with a strong shore break on windy days; calmer in light winds. Easy drive-up access directly from the main coastal road. There is an organized section with sunbed/umbrella rentals and a beach bar/taverna above the southern/central part; large stretches remain unorganized. Parking is available in dedicated lots near the beach and along the roadside, but fills in peak season. Cautions: sudden depth, waves/swell when windy, limited natural shade away from the pines at the edges; no consistently verifiable public lifeguard or facilities beyond those of the beach bar.
