Description
Town beach on Lefkada’s sheltered east coast, opposite the islets of Madouri and Skorpios. Shoreline is a mix of coarse sand and small pebbles with generally clear, tranquil water thanks to the protected bay; short wind-chop and wakes can occur from passing boats. Exposure is low compared with the island’s west coast, so waves are usually calm. Access is straightforward via the seafront promenade within the village; multiple paid parking areas lie a short walk behind the beach, and the waterfront is flat. Large stretches are organized by hotels and beach bars offering sunbeds and umbrellas, with unserviced spots between. Watersports operators based in Nidri (kayak, SUP, parasailing, jet ski/boat rentals) and numerous day-cruise boats depart from the nearby port. Notable cautions: frequent boat and water-sports traffic close to shore—keep clear of craft lanes; the seabed is pebbly in places, so water shoes may help
