Description
Long, quiet bay on Paros’ east coast with fine sand and very clear, shallow water. Generally a calm, protected shoreline; the meltemi can bring strong wind but waves are usually low. Unorganized (no fixed sunbeds/umbrellas or lifeguard); limited natural shade from tamarisk trees. Access by paved and short dirt roads from Marmara; cars typically park along the roadside behind the beach. No Blue Flag listing. A simple taverna operates at the south end; rocky sections toward the north headland offer basic snorkeling. Popular for low-key walks and coastal trails (links to Kalogeros). Cautions: exposure to wind, little shade/water provision, and the surrounding dunes/area fall under environmental protection—avoid disturbing vegetation and wildlife.
