    Description

Vourvourou is a cluster of beaches and coastal stretches around the small village of the same name on the eastern side of Sithonia. The coastline faces a bay dotted with about nine small islands (notably Diaporos) which give parts of the sea a lagoon-style feel. The beaches are generally sandy or soft sand, with shallow, clear waters, and the setting is more relaxed and natural than many resort beaches. The combination of islands, caves, shallow bays and calm seas makes it especially appealing for swimming, snorkeling, and boat exploration. Because the area is less intensely developed than big resort zones, some stretches have basic infrastructure, while others remain more wild or minimally serviced.
