Description

Long, quiet stretch on Naxos’ southwest coast with fine, golden sand; small inlets at the ends have pebbles. Water is typically clear and shallow near shore. The main coves are somewhat sheltered from the prevailing north (Meltemi) winds, but open sections can see moderate chop and blowing sand on windy days. Access is by car via paved road most of the way, then a short, easy dirt section; parking is in a small free area near the beach. Facilities are minimal: no lifeguard, and services are limited to a few nearby tavernas. Noted as suitable for families/young children; anglers use the rocky ends. Cautions: no organized rescue, limited shade, respect the protected dunes/cedar area behind the beach."
