A good Greek beach day can fall apart before you even reach the water: a narrow access road, no legal shoulder, a rental car circling in the heat, and everyone in the car already sandy somehow. This guide keeps the promise deliberately practical. Every beach below has a dedicated small or large parking lot recorded in our verified inventory, so it is a stronger bet than beaches marked as roadside-only or no-parking.
This is still Greece in summer, not a guaranteed reserved space. Popular beaches can fill early, paid lots can change by season, and a "small lot" may be tight in August. But if you are planning with children, beach gear, mobility constraints, or a rental car, these are the beaches where parking should be less stressful. On Naxos, this list is intentionally stricter than "there is somewhere to leave the car." We include beaches marked with small or large parking lots, and we exclude roadside-only access because that can mean a few informal pull-offs rather than an easy arrival. City beach on the south side of Naxos Town with predominantly fine sand and some rocky/pebblier patches toward the southern end. Water is usually clear and shallow for a long distance, making it popular with families.

Mikri Vigla lies on the western coast of Naxos, about 11-18 km from Naxos Town depending on route. It offers fine white sand (combined with some dunes & headlands) and crystal-clear waters.

Just 5-6 km southwest of Naxos Town, Agios Prokopios is one of the island’s top beaches, famed for a long stretch of golden-thick sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Its sheltered position gives relatively calm seas, especially near the northern end, making it excellent for swimming.

Long, quiet stretch on Naxos’ southwest coast with fine, golden sand; small inlets at the ends have pebbles. Water is typically clear and shallow near shore. The main coves are somewhat sheltered from the prevailing north (Meltemi) winds, but open sections can see moderate chop and blowing sand on windy days.
