Description
South-coast beach with golden, fine sand and very clear, shallow water. Generally sheltered from the summer northerly (Meltemi) winds, so the sea is usually calm; however, during southerlies it can see heavier surf. Access is easy via paved road, and there is local bus service from Adamas. Parts of the beach are organized with sunbeds/umbrellas and adjacent tavernas/beach bars; other stretches remain open. Limited natural shade. Large, dedicated parking area behind the beach. Caution: on windy days waves can cover much of the sandy strip; observe conditions before placing belongings near the water.
