A good Greek beach day can fall apart before you even reach the water: a narrow access road, no legal shoulder, a rental car circling in the heat, and everyone in the car already sandy somehow. This guide keeps the promise deliberately practical. Every beach below has a dedicated small or large parking lot recorded in our verified inventory, so it is a stronger bet than beaches marked as roadside-only or no-parking.
This is still Greece in summer, not a guaranteed reserved space. Popular beaches can fill early, paid lots can change by season, and a "small lot" may be tight in August. But if you are planning with children, beach gear, mobility constraints, or a rental car, these are the beaches where parking should be less stressful. On Milos, this list is intentionally stricter than "there is somewhere to leave the car." We include beaches marked with small or large parking lots, and we exclude roadside-only access because that can mean a few informal pull-offs rather than an easy arrival. If you are visiting in July or August, treat the parking type as a planning advantage, not a guarantee: go earlier for the famous beaches, and use the full Milos beach list when you want to compare parking with waves, surface type, and amenities.

Parking: Parking is limited near the beach.
South-coast beach backed by steep volcanic cliffs. Shoreline is mostly sand with some white pebbles; water is typically very clear and shallow close in. Generally sheltered from the prevailing Meltemi (north) winds, but exposed to southerlies—conditions range from calm to moderate and can become wavier with S winds.
Parking: Parking is limited at the end of the road and by the village entrance.

Mytakas (sometimes spelled “Mitakas”) is a tranquil beach on the northern coast of Milos, located within a small settlement of the same name. It’s made of two sandy bays, surrounded by gentle rocky hills, offering clear turquoise water and a relaxed atmosphere.
Parking: on-site/dedicated parking is just behind the beach.
Large south-coast bay with multicolored volcanic cliffs, clear water and a sand–pebble mix. Generally sheltered from the summer Meltemi (N) and calmer than north-coast beaches; more exposed when southerly winds blow. Access by paved road and seasonal KTEL bus; on-site/dedicated parking is just behind the beach.
Parking: there is a small parking area by the beach and additional roadside parking.
North-facing cove near Plaka with a mixed sand–pebble shore and very clear, typically turquoise water. Semi-sheltered by low cliffs but exposed to northerlies (Meltemi), so it’s usually calm to moderate but can turn wavy when winds pick up.

Sheltered village beach in a crescent bay on the NE of Milos with fine sand (predominantly sandy, occasional small pebbly patches) and clear, shallow water. Generally calm due to the enclosed bay; can get choppy with strong N/NE meltemi. Easy, level access directly from the waterfront road and promenade.
Parking: Large, dedicated parking area behind the beach.
South-coast beach with golden, fine sand and very clear, shallow water. Generally sheltered from the summer northerly (Meltemi) winds, so the sea is usually calm; however, during southerlies it can see heavier surf. Access is easy via paved road, and there is local bus service from Adamas.

Alogomandra is a beautiful, relatively secluded sandy beach on the northeastern coast of Milos, near Agios Konstantinos / between Sarakiniko and Papafragas. It features fine white/golden sand, crystal-clear emerald water, and a semi-cave carved into the cliff at one end that offers some shade and dramatic views.
